ABOUT THE CLUB

The Club was founded in March 1979 with the aim of furthering the interests of owners and drivers of Jaguar cars in the Cape Province. This is done by offering information and assistance in many ways - to promote the sport and pastime of motoring in all its branches and to encourage social activities between the persons engaged in such sport or pastime.

The Club therefore promotes, organises and holds motor car meetings, tests, competitions, displays, runs, excursions, reliability trials, economy runs, other events and offers rewards and prizes in respect thereof. The Club holds regular monthly meetings at its own Clubhouse located at the Killarney Racetrack. Here we extend to members all the usual hospitalities, privileges, advantages, conveniences and accommodation associated with an organised Club. We furthermore cultivate reciprocal relationships with kindred clubs and associations.
Also offered to members are spares, technical assistance, a monthly newsletter, literature and advice - in fact, anything which may help in the preservation and promotion of the marque.

Our financial and membership year runs from 1st January until the 31st December. Membership fees are recommended by the Committee and approved at a General Meeting. Upon joining a one off entrance fee is due.

Since its inception, The Cape Jaguar Club, which caters for all Jaguar and Daimler cars regardless of age, has grown rapidly and we look forward to your joining the fellowship and camaraderie we offer to all owners and enthusiasts of the marque.

I wish you happy motoring and extend to you Club’s Greetings
